Dalai Lama, Buddha, et al – Kalachakra on Vimeo
Kalachakra means Time-Wheel, as “Kala” is Time and “Chakra” is Wheel in Sanskrit. Much in this tradition revolves around the concept of time and cycles; from the cycles of the planets, to the cycles of our breath and the practice of controlling the most subtle energies within one’s body on the path to enlightenment. This movie is a result of our incredible journey through India and our attendance of the Kalachakra Initiation held in the sacred Buddhist site of Bodh Gaya. Faith crossed our paths with many blessed people including His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dr. Katharine Bishop Jefferts Schori, the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church; and Islamic scholar Seyyed Hossein Nasr join him on stage in front of 4,000 attendees.

How To Shut Up Pesky Creationists – YouTube
Easy to understand evidence for a common ape-like human/chimp ancestor. One of thousands of collaborating pieces of evidence, but this one is very conceptual. Whip it out anytime a creationist starts preaching.

Neil deGrasse Tyson – Intelligent Design is Stupid – YouTube
Neil deGrasse Tyson describes the absuridity of “intelligent design”. Sorry folks, the universe was not designed for us. Accept it, we’re nothing special.

Karen Armstrong – A History of God – YouTube
A History of God – History Channel (A&E) – The idea of a single devine being – God, Yahweh, Allah – has existed for over 4,000 years. But the history of God is also the history of human struggle. While Judaism, Islam and Christianity proclaim the goodness of God, organised religion has too often been the catalyst for violence and ineradicable prejudice. In this fascinating, extensive and original account of the evolution of belief, Karen Armstrong examines Western socitety’s unerring fidelity to this idea of One God and the many conflicting convictions it engenders. A controversial, extraordinary story of worship and war, A History of God confronts the most fundamental fact – or fiction – of our lives.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson – Answers a religious heckler – YouTube
At the end of the Q&A period after Tyson and Dawkins’ magnificent presentation “The Poetry of Science”, this douchebag troll (who refused to sit and insisted on getting his “question” out) tries to bait Dawkins/Tyson into a religious discussion with the mildly retarded question about what they would do when they’re about to die with nothing to console themselves but their knowledge of science (implying that they’re incomplete without the source of origin:god). Dawkins passed the opportunity for retort to Tyson, who answers in a fantastically poetic way.

Richard Dawkins – The Enemies Of Reason – Episode 1 – Slaves to Superstition – YouTube
Dawkins points to some of science’s achievements and describes it as freeing “most of us” from superstition and dogma. Picking up from his superstition-reason distinction in The Root of All Evil? (while recycling some footage from it), he then says reason is facing an “epidemic of superstition” that “impoverishes our culture” and introduces gurus that persuade us “to run away from reality”. He calls the present day “dangerous times”

Richard Dawkins – The God Delusion (Root of all Evil) – YouTube
The Root of All Evil?, later retitled The God Delusion, is a television documentary written and presented by Richard Dawkins in which he argues that humanity would be better off without religion or belief in God. The documentary was first broadcast in January 2006, in the form of two 45-minute episodes (excluding advertisement breaks), on Channel 4 in the UK. Dawkins has said that the title The Root of All Evil? was not his preferred choice, but that Channel 4 had insisted on it to create controversy. The sole concession from the producers on the title was the addition of the question mark. Dawkins has stated that the notion of anything being the root of all evil is ridiculous. Dawkins’ book The God Delusion, released in September 2006, goes on to examine the topics raised in the documentary in greater detail. The documentary was rebroadcast on the More4 channel on the 25th August 2010 under the title of The God Delusion. (Wikipedia)
